KKKKK - KAWS!!!

I try to keep up with KAWS (extraordinary modern art artist) and his blog, via honeyee.com.

Since his book just came out in (November) and he has been sort-of touring with a Book signing, I checked back to see his updates.

I don't know if I really like the format of honeyee's blog entries. Pharrell has a page here too and it's simply irritating to have to either scroll through or click the little arrows every time you want to see a new entry. Why can't you show like 5 or 6 entries on one page? Then we can choose to go to another page if we feel like it?

They're lucky I like their bloggers...

Modeling Sidebar

This particular blog F.Luxury.B, is not really what I'm talking about in this post. I do feel the need to discuss this blog later in life on a topic more interesting. But...there was a post that just hit me in a way that I felt the need to comment.

These twin models remind me so much of Cassie (the wannabe singer) and it simply makes me wonder why in wonderland won't the girl just take up modeling permanently? She can't sing or dance and the only thing people praise her for is her looks. I admit she is really gorgeous and very unique looking. Like Kimora in her hayday. If a person has an obvious talent and all the neon, bright signs are pointing to it, along with roadmaps, whistles and bells...why would you go around it? Oh, she just really irritates me with that one.

True to Her Word

As a mother, I aspire to be perfect. Although I know the constant letdown of this aspiration, I keep aiming anyway. Well, I have found something somewhat close to what I consider a model...in the form of The Hipster Mom.

This little lady is so cute as a mommy. The way she makes crafts with her kids, gives out advice, and sort-of journals her ups and downs of motherhood is totally perfect. Not all of my blog finds will be great but this one is a pleasure.(Hopefully I can find some awesomely disastrous ones in the future so you don't think I'm just reporting on all my favs).

Anyway, her mantra of "Have Kids. Keep your cool." is very on point. Other mothers - take heed. None of you are Claire Huxtable, or Joan Cleaver and I'm sure you're not as blunt as Roseanne. But The Hipster Mom...eh, that could be your new aspiration.?

I'm not a man...

But if I were...I would definitely love the blog called The Urban Gent!!!

Not only do they showcase my fav artists/actors and their keen fashion sense...but they truly do give great tips.

I know this sounds like a QVC commercial, but I honestly adore this website...my issue though (because there always is one), falls with the layout. It just seems so jumbled with all that's going on with the middle, then the sides, then the links...ahhh!!

Many can say the same with my website, but you know what...I truly, truly could care less.

Eminem is a Publicity Fantasy...insinuates Aramique

Okay, so I missed the whole month of August...be upset, not care, whatever, moving on.

I found an incredible little paragraph on a blog called THE STORYTELLERS. And while the entire blog is a great read for those in the writing, advertising, maybe photography world, I think my music lovers will appreciate this gem of knowledge...especially because it's so true and especially because he did it again with Recovery...

Get ALIFE...

alife is always a breath of fresh air, so Thomas Campos can sometimes be an oxygen mask? Am I making sense? I didn't think so. His blog's layout is pretty dope-a-licious. I found some goodies from way back on there. If you keep up daily, then these are revisits of some fun times for you but if not, then go seek for yourself...

Brooklyn Carter

So...I'm visiting Billionare Boys Blog and come across some greatness. No need to spread hate just because I didn't think of this, instead let's all share in the love. Because I absolutely love this song and Gregory Solenstrom's video...

VK - Downtown's Sweetheart

Vashtie Kola - the girl of many names (which I'm not going to type here because honestly, the list is too long :-))

I simply adore her little blog and how she can blend her life and her work, yet still keep "fans" at a distance. It's cool to open your portal just a little bit but don't go all John Malkovich on a person!

Moving on...I want to buy a piece of clothing from her Violette clothing line and I just can't decide on what. Do I want a "chill" boyish shirt or just a cute piece of accessory? (I'm saying piece as if I want a chunk of these things and not the actual item right?) Anyboo, just ranting. Check out her blog. It's interesting...

DJ Cassidy really wants you to be his Friend...

I checked out DJ Cassidy's blog - with high hopes of seeing a "different" side of the industry. While the pics and references to various appearances were really interesting to a person like me, I must sadly report that with almost each entry, I found that he had no comments! Granted, I understand fully that I too lack comments and thus you can assume that I am in need of friends, but since there is no disclaimer on his page about him even having a blog simply for the reason of boredom, I have to figure that he does what he does in search of attention. And he is just not getting it.

Wow that was a mouthful right? And a hell of a run-on sentence!

Anyway, in short, what I'm saying is that we "bloggers", famous and non, do upload the nonsense that we do, in hopes that other people will read it and care. When you don't see anyone commenting on your entries, either their just skimming your page or didn't find it interesting enough to say anything. DJ Cassidy, I like your music and I really like your fashion sense. Promote yourself more. Or rather, your website...

Extract the Necessary

It's a Friday and I have a long "to do" list. But of course, I just don't feel like doing it. I went over to a blog that I thought would have some interesting distractions for me...but sadly they didn't. Blogs don't always please. Most of the time I can find some gems by randomly searching through unknown blogs but who has time to do that daily? So, as far as my favs go, I need you bloggers to step it up okay? People like me log in almost everyday just for a quick pick-me-up. If you can't do it, get an assistant!!

I went to EstheroinProgress.blogspot.com and found some disgraceful, slut-like Beyonce video (which is so normal for her, and I'm actually a small fan so I don't say this lightly - I think she's obviously talented but uses it all wrong with the Lucy popping). Since I had no use for this "new" video, I'm posting one that I really love. No Lucy popping here folks.

Mr. West needs to leave the building...

His blog used to be the *%&@, but nowadays...
Let me back up. When Kanye launched his Universe City website, it included a blog that gradually became a daily update. It was also a staple for mainstream media to read and report his sporadic rants. I loved this blog. He always showed cool art and great architecture. He gave free downloads of rare and hard to find music. Occasionally, he could let the fans into his private life by taking random pics of he and his friends.
Overall, it was the good life. Logging on everyday and looking for that new new from Mr. West.

Now...

He has started some other blog under the kanyewest.com website and while I think the layout is utterly fantastic and genius (because everything is in picture frames with just a white background) it is definitely lacking an umph. His taste in art is getting a little dark (emo-like if you will) and the fascination with nude art is a bit much. Maybe I have approached this new blog the wrong way. Perhaps he made a post that I haven't found yet, which gives instructions on how or why I should read this blog versus the other (which he has practically stopped updating). I'm sure those instructions would read something like this:

1. Do not go to this site if you want music.
2. Do not go to this site if you want exclusive artist interviews.
3. Do not go to this site if you want anything to do with music artists.
4. Do go to this site if you love all things black.
5. Do go to this site if you love all things creative...really, extra creative.
6. Do go to this site if you like nude, white women.
7. Do go to this site if you want to keep updated with what Kanye is going to offer on his next album - it's a little obvious that Kanye, Jay-Z and Rihanna are all playing with this "dark side" thing. Two albums done and one in waiting. I'm sure Kanye's album will take the same "video" tone as the others.

Then again, who am I to say what he's doing. I'm just the silly fan that these things are targeted to. I should just sit back and take it, instead of trying to understand it...right? The hell if I know.
